From Zero Impressions to Competing With the ICF Itself – A Coach2Reach Google Ads Case Study

10x growth google ads case study
On July 1, 2026, Coach2Reach – an ICF coaching certification provider targeting the US, UAE, Canada, UK, and Australia – didn’t exist in Google’s auction data. No impression share, no visibility, nothing to optimize. By August 3, they were showing up in the same Auction Insights table as coachingfederation.org – the International Coaching Federation itself.

Here’s exactly how that happened over 34 days, with the real numbers behind it.

The Full Period, By the Numbers

MetricResult
Total Clicks1,073
Impressions35,998
Total Spend₹53,210
Confirmed Leads25
Cost Per Lead₹2,128

Two Search campaigns ran in parallel, each with a different job. Campaign 1 was built for volume and reach – the primary engine, running broad match. Campaign 2 was a conversion-testing campaign on a smaller budget, and despite far fewer clicks, it pulled a 8.13% CTR – almost 3x Campaign 1’s 2.79% – proof that a tighter, more targeted keyword approach attracts meaningfully more relevant traffic, even at a fraction of the spend.

The Growth Wasn’t Linear – It Was Deliberate

The 34-day period breaks into four clear phases, each driven by a specific decision:

Jul 1–16 – Launch. Broad match, ₹2,000/day. Averaging 7 clicks/day at ₹81.88 average CPC. Slow, deliberately – this phase exists to feed the algorithm real signal, not to chase early volume.

Jul 17–21 – Restructure. Switched to phrase match, moved to a Maximise Clicks bid strategy, raised budget to ₹3,000/day. Clicks nearly doubled to 12/day, CPC dropped slightly to ₹74.46.

Jul 22–28 – The algorithm matures. With competitor analysis and new headlines layered in, clicks jumped to 72/day- a 10x increase from launch -while average CPC fell to ₹42.08.

Jul 29–Aug 3 – Conversion tracking goes live. GTM-based phone and WhatsApp tracking came online. Clicks settled to 48/day, but CPC dropped further still, to ₹21.92.

The headline result: clicks went from 7/day to 72/day in four weeks – a 10x increase – while cost per click fell from ₹81.88 to ₹21.92. Lower cost, higher volume, at the same time. That’s not luck; that’s what happens when you feed an algorithm better signal instead of just more budget.

25 Leads, Three Different Ways In

SourceCountQuality
Landing page form7High – full contact details
SalesIQ chat, completed18High – full chat, contact captured
SalesIQ chat, started only22Warm – clear intent, didn’t finish

At ₹2,128 per confirmed lead, for an international audience shopping for a high-value ICF coaching certification, that’s a strong number – these aren’t low-intent clicks, they’re qualified prospects across five countries.

Now Competing in the Same Room as the ICF Itself

By the end of the period, Coach2Reach had entered the Auction Insights table alongside 15 active competitors – a market that didn’t register the brand’s existence on day one. Among those competitors: coachingfederation.org – the International Coaching Federation itself.

Sharing an auction table with the governing body of global coaching means Coach2Reach is now showing up for the exact same high-intent searches that the ICF targets. That’s the quality of search environment this campaign entered – in 34 days, from a standing start.

What Got Built Behind the Scenes

Running the ads was half the work. The other half was building measurement infrastructure that pays off for months, not just this one:

  • Phone call tracking (GTM) — every phone button click is now recorded in Google Ads and GA4
  • WhatsApp click tracking — captures leads who prefer messaging over calling, tracked as conversions
  • Form submit tracking — every landing page conversion attributed to the right campaign
  • GA4 Key Events — phone calls, WhatsApp clicks, and form submits feed back into Google’s bidding algorithm
  • Competitor intelligence — live SERP analysis (via US VPN) confirmed Coach2Reach at position 3; a full ad-transparency study of Symbiosis Coaching revealed their entire strategy, including price anchoring and an 8-sitelink structure
  • Audience intelligence — Google’s own data identified Business Education (794x), Technology Education (332x), and Legal Education (408x) as the top-converting audiences, now informing every future targeting decision

Where the Focus Goes From Here

Month 1 was about proving the keyword strategy and building the measurement foundation — and it worked. The next phase is about compounding that foundation rather than starting something new.

I’ll be focusing on three things: scaling budget as the algorithm’s learning phase matures, sharpening ad position through a more targeted bidding approach, and closing keyword gaps that competitor and audience data have already surfaced — including a strong NLP-focused angle that no competitor in this space is currently using.

The foundation is built. The next phase is about pushing harder on what’s already working.
